Imani, 22 years old, works for the sustainable children’s brand Infantium Victoria. Infantium Victoria is a young company that was founded in 2014. It’s specialises in the design of high-end organic and vegan fashion for kids.
After her internship, Imani got the opportunity to work at the company with an apprenticeship. An apprenticeship is a contract for 2 years. In these 2 years Imani works 4 days a week. She will also have pattern drawing lessons once a week and she will also follow business management for 1 year. Imani will be graduated at the end of her contract and lessons.
An apprenticeship has the following advantages:
– You earn a wage every month
– Parents keep the child allowance
– 90% more chance of a permanent job
You can follow an apprenticeship if you are between 15 and 25 years old
Imani is a very passionate person and that is also reflected in her job. She fulfills the job of pattern maker and sourcing manager. In the pattern making part, she is responsible for the technical side of the product. The patterns are the base for good clothings. In the sourcing part Imani looks for new fabrics and materials.
