Experience Learning & Working: Emran (22)
That drive pays off is proven by the story of Emran.
Emran is 22 years old and comes from Afghanistan. To be able to work in the fashion sector in Belgium, he first had to follow a Dutch language course, after which he could start his two-year ‘stitching’ course at the Centrum Leren & Werken in Antwerp. Centrum Leren & Werken is a learning place where the most vulnerable students get a place to develop themselves. They combine 2 days of school a week and 3 days of learning in a workplace.
Emran had been dreaming of working with bridal wear for a long time. Centrum Leren & Werken helped him to get started at Marylise & Rembo Styling Fashion Group during his training. Afterwards he got a permanent contract. He was given the opportunity to grow and learn during his studies and is now allowed to travel abroad with the company to prepare the fashion shows, among other things.
The fact that his dream has become reality is largely due to his dedication and motivation.
