Meet our ambassador Margot
She studied bio-engineering but was always passionate about fashion and textiles. That’s when she discovered Young Patterns! We helped her find an internship where she could use her scientific knowledge as an engineer to help make the fashion industry more sustainable.
At her first internship at FNG Group she was responsible for sourcing sustainable fabrics and supporting the design and procurement teams. At Valvan Baling Systems she worked on developing an innovative technology to facilitate high quality textile recycling. She also helped with the commercialization of the Fibersort-technology.
At the moment Margot works as a Product Manager for HNST, a Belgian circular denim brand. Her tasks there range from the complete follow-up of the production process, to organising photo shoots and looking for innovative textile developments to make HNST even more sustainable.
She would definitely recommend contacting us from Young Patterns to all young people trying to find their place in the apparel sector!
